| 2006 A.Mano Primitivo
Having not visited this wine since my days at Syracuse, I was imagining a similarly lightweight and clean tannic wine as it was back then, but how time changes things. The wine had a nice earthy nose, showing black fruits and notes of straw. The palate had wonderful ripe tannins and plush fruit, and that unmistakable Italian-ness, which I simply adore. You should be able to pick this up for about $22, and it is a wine well worth seeking out.
