There is nothing quite as annoying as having red wine on hot days and the way to remedy such a problem is to put your red wine in the fridge. I'm not advocating drinking them at beer temperature, but use your common sense, chill them to make them refreshing yet not lose their integrity. I have done this to the Yering Station and it means the wine is more together in its flavours. It has soft red and black fruits, strawberry and cherry; I would call them, and more savoury notes coming from some time in contact with oak. This is a very safe Pinot Noir, what I mean by that is it is very clean and there are no real earthy and interesting flavours. It is a nice light wine, but doesn't have the depth that makes Pinot great, but then again it is only $13 a half bottle. It is perfect as a glass with something to eat or a drink while you are cooking.
