| 2007 Konrad Riesling
This is lovely bottle of wine from Marlborough in New Zealand; it has the classic Riesling hallmarks of high acidity and lemony, limey-ness. This is not a sweet wine, for those of you who don't like sweet wine; yet there is residual sugar in it, offering a rounded and fuller mouth feel. Its alcohol level is 10.5% and really, the acidity does a fantastic job of nearly hiding the sweetness altogether. Notes of steeped tea seem to be showing themselves, but the impression as a whole is all about focus and minerality and that awesome acidity which certainly gives the wine tremendous length. You should be able to get this for about $18 retail, and I suggest you do, then make some kind of Thai salad and enjoy.
