| 2007 Silverwood Pinot Noir
I don't normally talk about the same winery two weeks in a row, however I felt this was important. I have been quite sceptical about Pinot Noir lately, certainly at lower price points. The Silverwood showed nice dark fruits, and had good acidity and length. Savoury and elegant, the wine was expressive of Pinot fruit, earth and soft spice, nice fine tannins and sweet fruit. Selling at the cellar door for $31.95 and hopefully accessible around town too.
