Made from the Fiano grape, grown most famously in Avelleno in Italy, this wine was really impressive. Bright, fresh fruit, nice savoury edges and quite full in the mouth gave the Fox Gordon real impact. It is more forward that many of the Fiano that I have seen recently, but it is this style of wine that will start to erode the strangle hold of Sauvignon Blanc and allow people to try new things without fear. This will retail for about $20 and if you are looking to try something different this year, then I would happily suggest this as your starting point.
