| 2008 Tsharke 'Girl Talk' Albarino
A quick recap, Albarino is a grape variety from the cold north west of Spain and is becoming a lot more prominent in Australia. The grape's hallmark is its acidity and freshness and although not as piercing as some Spanish examples the Tsharke has a terrific nose of fresh crunchy pears and apple, great clean acidity and nice length and texture. The wine also has a weightier palate than some I have been seeing recently and offers great mouth feel for such a refreshing wine. I really like this grape variety and I am really enjoying what Australia is producing. You should be able to pick up the Tscharke Albarino for about $25.
