All terms of business as detailed below relate directly to 64 Stairs Pty Ltd trading as BenandWine A.B.N 65123761188.
Sommelier Online
All services provided under 'Sommelier Online' are provided free of charge.
Services are limited to suggestions of wines for meals and basic questions regarding wine varieties for your private purposes and will be responded to within 48 hours.
A 'frequently asked questions' page will be updated regularly to address those questions most frequently asked.
Should BenandWine believe the question falls outside of the parameters as identified, BenandWine will refer the customer to alternative services on the BenandWine website or to alternative external resources.
Takehome Sommelier
Inhome Service
Wine courses are provided in the client's home subject to the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 and Renewable Limited Liquor Licence No. 36104909. All wines provided and served are included in the fee quoted. All pours will meet standard tasting sizes and be used for educational purposes only. Wine required for post 'course' events can be ordered online at www.BenandWine.com.
Wines selected are up to $35 retail value. Any wines over $35, including premium wine, will incur additional charges depending upon availability and premium wine cost, as chosen in consultation with the client or at client request.
Cancellations must be made 7 business days in advance or a cancellation fee of 50% applies.
The client will be invoiced at the time of booking. Payment terms are seven days.
Prices provided are for venues located within 15km of the Melbourne CBD. A surcharge of $50 applies to bookings within 15km - 25km of Melbourne CBD. Additional travel and/or accommodation expenses will be charged for distances beyond 25km, to be quoted and paid at time of booking. .
Note: Eight people $350 (inc GST). Each additional guest is $50 per head.
Fees quoted are exclusive of GST.
Wine Courses
Inhouse Wine tastings
Wine courses are provided on the client's site subject to the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 and Renewable Limited Liquor Licence No. 36104909. All wines provided and served are included in the fee quoted. All pours will meet standard tasting sizes and be used for educational purposes only. Costs provided do not include catering or venue hire. Catering services and venues can be recommended and provided at an additional cost if required.
Event sizes include a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 40 attendees.

Wine courses can be attended in a series or as a single event.
Single evening attendance is $75 per person, the series is $420 per person if paid prior to the series commencing. Class sizes minimum 6, maximum 12 attendees.
Bookings are essential. Cancellations must be made 7 days in advance or a cancellation fee of 20% applies to cover the cost of pre-purchased wine, subject to management discretion.
Bookings can be made online with payment made by bank transfer or credit card.
Wine for Industry
Custom Wine Lists
BenandWine provides wine list management services for wine lists of any size. Fees include consultation, search and selection and presentation for client sign off. Fees do not include the purchase of wines or wine costs. Additional costs apply.
Wine lists will be completed within timeframes agreed at time of consultation. Prices will be quoted following the initial consultation and are exclusive of GST.
Industry wine education
Wine courses are provided on the client's site subject to the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. Fees quoted do not include the cost of wine. All wines to be provided by the client subject to the wine list or portfolio being examined. Wines can be provided at an additional cost if requested.
All pours will meet standard tasting sizes and be used for educational purposes only.
Courses will be tailored to suit your needs.
Class sizes; minimum 5 participants - maximum 30.
Bookings are essential. The client will be invoiced at the time of booking. Payment terms are seven days.
Cancellations must be made 7 business days in advance or a cancellation fee of 20% applies.
Fees are exclusive of GST.
Wine Sales
Monthly Wine Packs
Prices quoted are in Australian Dollars and inclusive of GST.
Postage and delivery
Our delivery rates are door-to-door with a 7-10 day delivery schedule.
Melbourne Metro deliveries include a 24-48 hour turnaround if orders are placed before 11am. We will advise you of expected delivery times.
Melbourne Metropolitan orders are delivered free. Orders for all other locations Australia wide will be calculated at the end of your purchase in line with standard Australia Post costs.
All orders must include a telephone number for the delivery address and instructions should no-one be home.
International Orders
International customers should note there maybe some customs or import duties applicable on the importation of alcohol. Customers should check this with their local authorities. These duties are an additional charge to freight and the cost of any wine ordered. Your orders will be submitted, but your credit card will not be billed until a shipping fee has been submitted to you via email for your approval.
Faulty or corked wines
On the occasion that a customer believes wines are faulty or corked, we will happily replace or credit the purchase upon return of the bottle, including 2/3 its original contents, to BenandWine. Return postage costs will be reimbursed by BenandWine.
Platinum Cellar

BenandWine will take all reasonable steps to verify that the order and credit are bona fide and reserves the right to cancel any order or service, at which time, we will immediately notify this action by e-mail or phone, using the e-mail address or number/s provided. We will refund the monies paid using the original method received.
